Summary
drawing explaining three kinds of ROM's that can be fit into the ZX81+38 ROM socket, the three options are: Original ZX-81 ROM a 27C256 OTP (default choice) a 28C256 if you expect you will need to change to contents of the ROM regularly
reference the schematic (revision 1.6) to see which jumpers you will need to change, for the 27C256 OTP you don't have to change use any jumpers, as the PCB is wired already for this choice!
