I'm a new joiner to the RevSpace. In the past I've tended to be a software hacker, not a hardware hacker. I tend to bring my family for a variety of smaller projects.
I'm a theoretical physical chemist by training and a diplomat by career. I have a somewhat boring personal website.
Projects I work(ed) on (refresh):

FrenchHornMouthpieces | In progress |
Family projects/learning activities
- Fiddling with LEDs and resistors and a breadboard and building a buzzer game
- Learning to solder components to boards and make LEDs light up
- 3D printing
Things I want to learn
- Laser-cutting/etching
- Espresso making with the Pavoni
- Silkscreen printing
Interim projects
- Getting some of my arduino projects going again
- Building some of my arduino projects into more permanent (not breadboarded) items
- 3D-printing a mouthpiece for my French Horn
Code
I have coded in C, C++, perl, Pascal, Turing, python, R, emacs-lisp, csh, PHP. I have debugged fortran, ruby, and several others. I am sometimes trying to learn rust.
Some of my past projects are available in repositories on GitHub.
Outputs and public-facing bits are on my projects site.
Past activities
I used to work in computer graphics and adjacent to the games development industry. I once had RSA in perl in a signature block and sent my first internet email, and was first flamed on usenet, in 1992.
