The project to make DIY Alklanet. Why ? Alklanet is awesome cleaning agent, but is kinda expensive. Can we make something ourselves? Alklanet is a commercial product, with a secret composition. Howewer de MSDS reveals the most common chemicals.

- 5 -10% 2-Butoxyethanol

Composition option 1
Naive mix of tensides and 2-2-Butoxyethanol. Dishwashing liquid vs hard soap. Foam formation is the questio.
- 10% 2-Butoxyethanol
- 5% Anionic Tensides
- 85% water
Recipe V0.1
Al %weight, For 200 ml. These will give only apporximate concentrations.
- 20 g Eco-Aceton from "De Parel" from hornbach
- 10 g dishwashing liquid
- 170 g water
Recipe V0.2
- 20 g Eco-Aceton from "De Parel" from hornbach
- 10 g hard white soap
- 170 g water
Composition option 2
Tensides 2-2-Butoxyethanol and some ethanol, as Alklanet MSDS also identifies it as a component. The use of Dishwashing liquid or hard soap, based on experiences from V0.1 and V0.2.
- 10% 2-Butoxyethanol
- 5% Anionische Tensides (hard soap or dishwashing liquid)
- 5% ethanol
- 80% water
Recipe V0.3
Al %weight, For 200 ml. These will give only apporximate concentrations.
- 20 g Eco-Aceton from "De Parel" from hornbach
- 10 g dishwashing liquid / hard soap
- 10 g ethanol ( Available from drugstores as 95% ethanol for cleaning)
- 160 g water
Test results
- Make some and test it !
