This page is about the RRD102 module.

This module is a little PCB with a RDA5807m FM receiver chip on it. One of the features of this receiver chip is that it supports reception of RDS.

RDS allows such things as:

  • identification of the FM transmitter in 8 characters
  • additional information about the current program
  • time (might be useful to sync your clock?)
  • list of alternate frequencies
