How to use

This is from what I've been able to decipher from the taobao page with Google Translate. Caveat lector :)

Measuring inductors

  • Make sure the 'L/C' button is pressed.
  • Make sure the 'L/F' button is pressed.
  • Short the testing clips together and press the 'zero' button. The 'Lx' display will show some uninteresting value.
  • Wait a second and unpress the 'zero' button. The 'Lx' display should now indicate a low value, which shows that the wiring has been calibrated out.
  • Disconnect the leads (the 'Lx' value will go up high again) and connect them to the pins of your inductor.

Measuring capacitors

  • Make sure the 'L/C' button is not pressed.
  • Make sure the 'L/F' button is not pressed.
  • Don't connect the testing clips to anything and press the 'zero' button. The 'Cx' display will show some uninteresting value.
  • Wait a second and unpress the 'zero' button. The 'Cx' display should now indicate a low value, which shows that the wiring has been calibrated out. Disconnect the leads (the 'Cx' value will go up high again) and connect them to the pins of your capacitor.
