Some helpful things/tools we have at the space for SMT work (with SMD components):
Components
There are tubs of sorted and unsorted SMD components above the soldering table in the main room. Our selection is a bit random/limited right now.
Tools
There is a Reflow Oven for reflow, a Hotair rework station, and a Preheater.
There are paint scrapers in noopwafel's samla (for now) for applying paste with a stencil. Don't use them for anything else!
Stencils
You can make stencils from Mylar using Lasercutter3. noopwafel had initial success using a 90% svg (only fill, no outline) from kicad, using speed 50, power 5, 0.02mm spacing, but probably there are smarter settings (thus: TODO).
Solder Paste
noopwafel has a 500g(!) tub of (lead-free) Loctite GC-10 T3 lead-free paste, usually kept in the fridge in the werkplaats. Feel free to use some, but please don't contaminate it (ask for help if needed). It is stable at room temperature and remains sticky for several hours.
