You can get a lot of information from the OBD2 (OBD-II) port of your vehicle. Often times, modern cars give you a subscription service to remotely read out information like fuel status. But since I don't like subscriptions and hacking one together is a lot more fun, I will be going the DIY route on this! For the first revision, I only plan to read data from the OBD2 port. I might update it later with things like GPS tracking.

I'll be using a [https://www.seeedstudio.com/LoRa-E5-CAN-FD-dev-kit-CANBUS-p-5398.html Wio-E5 CAN FD dev kit] as starting point for this and the OBD2 plug from an old OBD device I had. This will be specific for my Hyundai Ioniq 2019 Plug-In Hybrid and I found the [https://github.com/JejuSoul/OBD-PIDs-for-HKMC-EVs/tree/master/Ioniq%20PHEV%20-%208.9kWh following page] with the PID's for my car, if you want to replicate it you will probably need to find the PID's specific to your car.

!! Page is a WIP, it will be updated once I get further in the project :) !!
